Breathing Benefits of Pranayama
Pranayama is the formal practice of controlling the breath, which is the source of our prana, or vital life force. Our breathing is influenced by our thoughts, and our thoughts and physiology can be influenced by our breath. Learning to breathe consciously and with awareness is the fourth limb of yoga, and it can be a valuable tool in helping to restore balance in the mind and body. Here are some of the pranayama exercises & poses, breathing techniques and sequences that we practice.
“Healing is every breath“
Here are some of the pranayama exercises & poses, breathing techniques and sequences that we practice.
“Meditation” and “mindfulness” are buzzwords these days for good reason. Yogis have been practicing dhyana (meditation) for millennia. Yoga meditation is the practice to calm and control the mind and, consequently the life. It is an effective way to discover the true self and lead a peaceful and happy life. The ancient practice is simply about sitting still, trying hard to do nothing.
“If the mind falls asleep, awaken it. Then if it starts wandering, make it quiet. If you reach the state where there is neither sleep nor movement of mind, stay still in that, the natural (real) state.”– Ramana Maharshi“

How to prepare for a Yoga Retreat
Partner yoga or Couples yoga is a practice in which two people support each other in poses in a way that enhances posture and builds trust and communication. Working with a partner provides balance in a pose while establishing and maintaining proper body alignment.
Group yoga refers to a style of yoga practice in which the participants work together to form the poses. Rather than each yogi performing a specific pose, as in a traditional yoga class, the yogis in group yoga each form a different limb of one bigger pose or assist each other in the poses. Group yoga promotes cooperation and builds deeper connections among the yogis.
